Let's Move California Forward!
![]() Dear Friend, Let's move California forward! With your ideas and participation, I believe our state can provide world leadership in education, green jobs and technology, and environmental protection. I am proud to represent the diverse people and communities of California's Central Coast in Sacramento. Our region is widely admired for creativity and for forward-looking values about the environment, social justice, and sustainable economic prosperity for the widest number. Our farms feed millions, our local businesses greet the world's visitors, and our schools and colleges provide training and research for a better future. There is no question that our state is in severe crisis. Strong action is needed to keep people working and protect our natural lands and waters. But beyond protecting what we still have, I believe we are in a time of opportunity to shape a new California even more equal, better employed, more caring about the needy, and better educated and equipped to meet the challenges to come. As we approach the crucial 2010 elections, your involvement is most important. Please contribute, endorse my re-election, volunteer, and let me know what YOU want for a better California.
Warm regards,
